Takin' a Walk Down Memory Lane

Hello,

I hope everyone is great and is making the most of their summer. That is actually a very interesting concept, making the most of your summer, or making the most of your time for that matter. I'm not going to complain, this summer has been amazing so far and I have been able to spend time with a lot of really great people. It just seems like time keeps going faster and faster lately. The reason I don't put new blogs every few days is because sometimes I have trouble finding inspiration. That is not the case this time, I might even go as far as to say that I have been hit by a bus full of inspiration. I already have so many good thoughts and memories that I will never forget, just from the past few months. Most of those great memories include one of my best friends, Erik. He recently left for school in South Dakota (I know what you're thinking, why so damn far away?). Now that he has left, all I can do is just look back on ALL of the great times we had. It honestly just seems like yesterday we both got jobs at King Soopers and now the summer is almost over, unbelievable. If I have learned anything important from this, it would be to enjoy every single moment you spend, with the people that are important to you. I really wish I could go to a couple more Rockies games with him before he left. It seems like a couple of weeks of summer just skipped by or something. Erik usually doesn't read my blogs, but I hope he reads this one (giant shout out to EY). Don't get me wrong, I am going to miss everyone who is leaving for school. I have so memories of summer Rockies games, and especially the July 3rd game! (easily one of the best Rockies games of my life). I am really going to miss all of it, those are some of the memories I hold dearest to me.
Even thought these memories are in the past, there are still tons of memories in the future for all of us. I consider myself very fortunate to be surrounded by so many great people. It's almost like my circle of friends is a toe-ring, which is unbreakable, because it is metaphorically cemented to a certain toe, which is our friendship. I hope Erik all the best in South Dakota and everyone else moving away for school next year (Lacey, Jessie, Nikki, Joey T., Sabatino, Eren, Megan, My sister Megan in Chi-town, D-Harsh at CU, E-dog, and EVERYONE ELSE moving away for school next year). Wait, I left someone out, Jake Balti (even though I am rooming with him, he would probably be mad I left him out). It has definitely been a summer to remember, but I wouldn't mind a couple more nights to make smores (even though Nikki ate my perfect smore, and Erik makes nasty angel food cake-chocolate experiments (which Lacey actually ate and got chocolate all over her face)). I guess that is better that a bagel to the face though.
I know we are all going to have a tough time leaving our friends, but none tougher than Eren and Megan. I think for them, surviving without each other is the main concern. I'm just kidding, but I am running low on t-shirts, I think I know someone who could help with that!

Respect to everyone who read this one, and keep it positive (Jessie)

Until next time, Shaun Hicks
